What is intersession?
Intersession is a 2 week, intensive study course, based on a specific topic. Students select their top 3 choices from the courses offered, and they are then assigned to one of those choices. These courses epitomize Project-Based Learning, and truly merge learning with FUN!
Magical Movie Making
Course Description:
In groups of 3, students will plan, film and edit a feature film. Students will feel like professionals when shooting their videos using clapboards, boom mics, and camera. We will learn about special effects, as well as analyze movies for mood, lighting, and pacing and incorporate our discoveries into our films. Students will also design a movie poster to advertise their feature film to the public. Each group will also create “special features” for their dvd.
Academic Content: Reading, analyzing and writing scripts, research of filming techniques, critique, video editing in I-Movie, Photoshop, editing audio in Garageband, Using a green screen, film literacy, the history of film making.

- Star studded red carpet premiere of final movies at the Museum of Photographic Arts!)
